Accounting Services & Financial Reporting offers several trainings and presentations for faculty and staff to learn about campus accounting protocols and processes. 

Accounting Services Basics

Basic understanding and general overview of campus accounting:

1. Definition of ACTUALS transactions
   
2. Chartfields definition, setup and examples
3. Brief introduction to ASFR forms
4. Brief introduction to OBIEE-BI Dashboards
5. Overview and comparison of month-end close, legal year-end close and GAAP year-end close

Accounting Services Forms

Designed for all campus employees, participants will understand the differences and correct usages of the various accounting forms:

1. Expenditure Transfer Request (ETR) form
2. Deposit or Reimbursement to University Account form
3. Request for Invoice (RFI) form

Accessing Financial Information (OBIEE – Dashboard)

General overview of OBIEE-BI Dashboard, a finance data warehouse that serves as an online repository for CSUF's finance data. Includes requesting access, tips and tricks and various useful dashboards.

Year-End Close Processes for Financial Services, Budget and Payroll

Workshop held annually to provide an overview of the fiscal year-end close regulations, timelines and reporting requirements.
